iSHOP, the new mobile commerce platform for retail networks is introduced to the market
Developed by Concrete Solutions, the mobile commerce process offers security, innovation, featuring purchases through image recognition, and can be implemented within 60 days
São Paulo, September 8, 2010 – Purchases can now be made using your mobile phone without being required to type in the name of the product you wish to buy. This is how iSHOP works. iSHOP is a recently launched mobile commerce platform aiming at increasing the sales volume of retail networks. The large number of mobile phone users in the country (187 million, according to National Telecommunication Agency – Anatel data), the availability of high speed data networks and mobile devices with advanced resources, like the smartphones, point to an unprecedented mobile commerce growth potential in Brazil. .
The iSHOP platform was developed by Concrete Solutions, a software consulting and development company, and works as a virtual store or a sales and relationship channel for retailers. With iSHOP, consumers quickly search for products without having to type in a single word because of the image recognition feature offered by this platform. “Let’s say a person is walking along a street and sees a pair of shoes in a shop window. Using the mobile phone this person can take a photo of the shoes and send the image to the iSHOP that will identify the product in retailer base, return prices and payment conditions and close the transaction normally as we are already doing in visual media,” Fernando de la Riva, Concrete Solutions partner and director explained.
The platform results from the combination of Concrete Solutions expertise in multichannel retail web solutions, five years of experience in the development of solutions for mobile phones and one year of investment in research. “Retailers may offer a multichannel experience to their clients, besides booting sales in an innovative and top security platform,” he said. On average, the implementation of the iSHOP platform may take two months, but depending on the existing infrastructure, the whole process may be completed in a few weeks.
The iShop is natively integrated to the leading e-commerce platforms existing in the market and communicates with the other platforms using open standards. The iSHOP is marketed under licensing terms and Concrete Solutions answers for platform implementation, support and maintenance.
Currently, the platform is available to iPhone versions 3 and 4 and soon the service will be offered to iPAD and Android users.

Concrete Solutions launches TapKut, a brand new application capable of connecting Orkut users via via Iphone
Free download is available and the tool enables using practically all the functionalities of the most popular social network in Brazil.
São Paulo, August 23, 2010 - Concrete Solutions, an information technology company offering e-business solutions to the market, is introducing today TapKut, the first application in the world capable of connecting Orkut users who own iPhone. The tool is already available for free download at the iTunes Store. Currently Orkut is the most popular social network in Brazil, with almost 50 million users.
“We started the design this application four months ago because we saw that there was a growing demand in the market for a tool capable of connecting Orkut users owning iPhone,” Cláudio Martins, Concrete Solutions Infrastructure and Mobile manager reported. “TapKut proves that innovation is in our DNA and adds to company expertise in quickly offering solutions capable of meeting market needs,” director partner Fernando de la Riva said.
TapKut enables almost all the Orkut functionalities, including: read and send scraps to friends and acquaintances, add new friends, share photos, accept or refuse new contacts, check updates of contact status, monitor birth dates, add comments to photographs. The application is available in Wi-Fi, EDGE and 3G networks.
